As I reflect on my life, there are many different things that come to mine. I am still disbelief that I am done high school. That is crazy! Where has the time gone? It went by too fast…..

Reflecting on the past three years of my life, the past three years I must say have been the best years and most eventful ones. I remember grade 10, I was a shy person – a person that never said anything. A person people regarded as shy & quiet. I most definite was. That was the year of learning the high school stuff.

Grade 11- that was one of my most toughest year. During the year, I would tell myself “nah, that would never happen to me.” In Grade 11, I barely passed three courses and failed a two to three others. Wow, what a wake-up call! I thought I could do anything I wanted but I guess I was wrong. I am lucky it didn’t affect me much though. That was the year of finding out who I wanted to be.

Grade 12- This was the first year that one of my best friends, if not my best friend named Sameer wasn’t in Calgary. He was off to New York to attend Cornell University. This gave me an opportunity to meet new people and hang out with people, I would not nor would I even talk to. I think I achieved those goals. Wow, what difference a year makes.

Coming into grade 12, I knew that it going to be a lot harder and I knew what was expected of me. Making new friends, and hanging out with old friends gave me a lot confidence. Having spare, with Shelly in 4th period opened the world to me. It made me realize what great people are in the world.

Not to mention any names, I met a beautiful & young person. A person who seemed to open up the world to me and show me what life was all about. A person who made me grow up. A person who made me realize the importance and beauty that this world has to offer. A person who seemed to give me hope & strength to carry on when things were tough. To my special friend, I am greatly grateful and there is nothing that I can ever do that will repay you for what you did for me.

I also got to hang out with my friend Quentin, who helped me grow up. To all my friends, thank you! Thank you for your support during some of the darkest days. You know who you are and I couldn’t thank you enough for that.

Wow, thank you God! God and Jesus, you have always been there for me and helped me through some bad days that I thought I would never see the sun or the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you putting up with my stubbornness and for times that I didn’t trust in You! Thank Mom and Dad for the support. You also help me through those days. I don’t know where I would be without you.

As I reflect on the past, but look to the future, I am excited to what the future is going to bring. As the saying goes “When One Door Closes, A New Door Opens.” I have to say, That is what life is all about. Learning from your mistakes, growing from your experiences, and living each day to the fullest.

To sum it up, I has enjoyed many accomplishments over the past year; however, there are still challenges that I must address.

I have set ambitious goals and as an individuals, I must be honest, I must be persistent, and I must be bold.

Now is the time to look inside ourselves and find the confidence that will led us to new heights.

The future is ours.

To my fellow friends, co-workers and my mentors, thank you and best of luck & take care.

As I close, I say Fly Like Dove, Dream Big and Go Touch The Sky. The Universe is your limit, even that is infinite. When you are successful and satisfied don’t you ever forget- where you came from, who you are & who helped you get there. It is because it is those things that are the most important things of your life.

May God Bless you and may you keep in touch.
